About the author
My career has spanned over five decades.
I have had the privilege of navigating the ever-changing landscape of technology and entrepreneurship.
My professional journey began in 1963 as a banker.
I completed a two-year apprenticeship and discovered my passion for programming.
I started coding in COBOL and assembler language.
I even wrote a small program that was entirely binary.
I also studied accounting with an emphasis on cost accounting.
This allowed me to work for a while as an internal auditor. I even got an award for an audit.
The audit recommended the best worldwide cost cuttings of an international company.
Over the years, I've worked in various challenging roles.
Including being a programmer, system analyst, IT manager, and entrepreneur.
I have had the opportunity to work at and with renowned companies. Including Siemens, Intel, and Altech.
In the 1990s, I transitioned into the cable assembly business.
As an owner, I could apply my technical expertise to install electronic systems.
Including accounting and payroll software (Sage/Pastel).
Email marketing systems (Mailchimp and Systeme.io), and an e-commerce platform (Big Commerce).
Throughout my career, I have maintained a strong passion for technology and innovation.
I have researched SEO extensively and created successful blogs on technical subjects.
My latest project is this website.
I like to share my knowledge and expertise with small business owners.
At heart, I'm still a "techie" with a drive to learn and adapt to new technologies.
I'm excited to share my experience and insights with you.
I look forward to helping you grow your business.
